I just recently purchased this Bella from Stamping Bella...I think she goes well for this time of the year. Although, I wish it were spring. I really, really hate winter...but nothing I can do about it...lol
I colored her with Stampin Up markers. Added some Stickles and used a silver paint pen for her skate blades. The sentiment "Thank You" is actually a rub on.
Ok, now I have a question for all of you out there.
What do you use for your layers? I have Perfect Layers, which I hadn't used since I almost cut the top of my finger off....well, I decided to try it again....last night I sliced my finger again...that darn blade slips and goes right through the top of that plastic ruler. I didn't do much damage this time to my finger..yes, its the same finger as before...but I really don't know about that darn tool.
The other thing I use is Fiskars trimmer...I think that thing is not quite right either..I never get a straight cut with that thing.
Another thing Ive heard that people are using out there is the Rotary Paper Trimmer...what do you think of this??
So tell me your thoughts.
Until next time..tata
Ive been trying to use some stamps that I haven't used in a long time. Here is a TAC stamp that I came across the other day while going through my stamps. I colored the image with my prismacolor markers and Stampin Up. The photo corners are stamps from CTMH (Close To My Heart) not sure if they still carry these or not..I bought them off of a friend on one of my Yahoo groups. I stamped the photo corner on my pattern paper and then embossed so I could cut them out nicely.
I guess we are in for some snow tomorrow and Thursday. Today it was like 46 degrees outside. Decided to run the Durango through the car wash....actually, I did the washing. I will not go into those automatic car washes....I'm afraid of not getting the tires where they should go..I know..how stupid, but what can I say.
Tomorrow is my birthday and I have a full day planned out. I'm meeting the girls for coffee in the morning and then we will all go eat lunch somewhere. Then tomorrow night I'm going out to dinner with hubby and kids. I met a friend today for lunch. We had Mexican..yummy!
I'm afraid to weigh in on Friday at Weight Watchers. Its probably not gonna be good. I did however come home from lunch today and cleared the driveway off...the warmer weather had made all the snow slush, so I thought it would be a good time to clear it off. So, I did get some exercise today...that should count.
Thats it for me tonight...until next time....tata....
I haven't used this image in a while, so it was time to drag her out. I love this simple image. You can color in her stripes or just leave her in black and white. For this one, I chose to leave her stripes white.
I colored her flesh with my Prismacolor markers and the dogs color was also colored with the Prismacolor markers. Now that I think about it, I should of added some bling to the dogs collar. I might have to do that when I pull this card out.
Ive been battling a cold, so if you don't get a card from me for a couple of days, you will know why.
More later........
The lighting on this little guy is kinda bad, but I think you can see him ok. This is from one of the newest images from TAC. I just love these penguins. Especially ones that ski..ha.
I used liquid applique on his hat and added some glitter before the heat gun. The snowflakes are ones that I still have from Martha Stewart.
Oh, I took all of my cards that I had made in the last week to the boutique I told you about yesterday and she LOVED all of them. She bought every single card. I was so excited. Now to hope she can sell them and I can make more money.
I didn't stamp at all today. I think I need a break..lol. I'm still trying to finish up "The Pillars Of The Earth" before January 30th. I am only on page 350 and there are 971...oh boy..I better get reading. I hope to read a lot tomorrow since I its going to be very cold out. With the wind chill its suppose to feel like -15...that's too cold for me. Of course I really should go to the grocery store..yuk.
Anyway more later.....
Here is a cute Valentines I made with my new Great Impressions stamp. I love this little giraffe...its just to cute. Took me awhile to color him or her though. Those spaces in between those brown spots were a pain, but I managed to get it done.
I used my heart punch for the little pink hearts. I adhered them with pop dots.
My poor throat was much better on Monday...I gotta stop screaming like that when I go out..haha.
Ive been working hard these last few days. I stopped into a shop to get a friend a gift certificate for her birthday. This is her favorite place to shop. Anyway, the owner and I were talking and I mentioned stamping for my church group. She asked me to bring in some cards to show her and she would pick out what she liked, pay me and then sell them in her store...I was so excited. Ive always wanted to make money with what I do and hopefully this will be a good start for me. Im taking them in to her store tomorrow. Wish me luck.
More later......
This is another image of Sparkle N Sprinkle that I got for Christmas. I actually did this card in the correct order...meaning I picked the darn paper first and then colored the image. I don't know why I keep doing it the other way, but it never works out.
I colored with Prismacolor markers. Paper was in my scraps stash. Ive been trying to go to my scraps stash first..that way I'm not cutting into a new sheet of paper. Plus I have a huge stash. I'm not sure if I will ever use it all, but I hate to toss it in the garbage.
I have some new cards in the making and need to finish them up and take some pictures. I might get to that today...although, I did go out with the girlfriends last night and I think I'm getting too old for that...well, maybe not quite, but close...ha. And now I'm thinking I might have to lounge around all day and watch movies..hehe.
My throat is sore from singing Karaoke and screaming all night. I wont mention how every muscle hurts from dancing either. I will tell ya I let loose last night and danced on the bar...I'm sure one of the girlfriends has some incriminating pictures that will be floating around somewhere...oh boy.
Until next time.....tata.....
I love how this card turned out. I found this paper in one of my scrapbook kits.
I wondered how I could use it and then decided to use the kitty from one of my Pink Cat Studio sets. I cut out a crown and put it on the kittys head. The brown flower is a die cut from my Big Shot and then I used a white paper flower with a jewel brad to hold it all together. I also used Stickles on the pillow.
I think I will have to make more of this card so I have them on hand.
tata for now
Here is one of the newest Bella's that I got in the mail last week. This was a pretty easy card to do...I would say the thing that took the longest was the coloring of the image...which I'm not too excited about.
I used this paper that came out of a 8x8 scrapbook, which I love, but sometimes what you use to color with, doesn't look right on the paper. Like I cant use my Prismacolor markers with this paper cause the ink smears.
But if I use my Stampin Up markers, they look pretty good...but I think it needs some improvement. I will need to try a different ink pad. Ive been using Palette but I don't always get a clear image. So I used my Archival ink pad and got an awesome image. Guess I will need to play around some more with this.
Decorative paper was from my stash and then I added some fibers on the side. Overall it turned out pretty good...but needs some tweaking.
More later.....
First I will tell you about this cute atc I made for a swap that I'm in. The rules were to make an atc that had a theme of a love song....that had me thinking. I had to come up with something that I actually had a stamp or stamps that would work. I thought and thought about this for days. Finally I came up with "Love Is In The Air"...I colored images with Prismacolor markers. The background of the atc is embossed with this embossing glitter. I found it in my stash and thought I would try it out. I'm really embossing challenged. I use that little pad with the white powdery stuff in it and I still cant emboss very well. I seem to get the powder everywhere and when I try to get it off, I either get more on it somewhere else, or I take off embossing powder that was already on the image....aarrggg. Last but not least, I stamped the word "Love" added some Stickles and added a flower with a jewel in the middle.
Senovia tagged me:
On to being tagged....the rules are to list 7 things about me that might be strange, or that someone would maybe not know..so here goes.
1. In the morning when I get up, I get on my laptop, watch Fox News and stay in my jammies until late morning. I know, its bad, but what can I say. I hate, hate, hate mornings.
2. I was adopted
3. I love to go camping, but only with a camper...I do not tent camp...we went tent camping when the kids were younger and I hated it. Never went again.
4. I'm a beach girl. I absolutely love the beach. I love sitting by the ocean and just watching the waves roll in.
5. I was 63 pounds heavier a year and a half ago.
6. I'm a very paranoid person. I will not fly unless I have to, I wont go in the ocean because I think a shark will get me. My latest is not going into the bank unless I have to....I know, its stupid what can I say. I don't want to be in the bank when someone decides to rob it..LOL
7. I'm an avid reader. I can read one or two books a week depending on the size of the books. Right now I'm reading "The Pillars Of The Earth" Its a huge read...971 pages. My goal is to be done by January 30th when Oprah will announce her next book. Yes, I'm a huge Oprah fan. In fact, we share a birthday...that should get me tickets to her show, don't you think?
Ok, here is who I'm tagging:

Tata for now....
Here is a cute stamp set that I just got from TAC....these little skunks are too cute. I actually think skunks are cute, but wont go near one since I don't want to smell like them..ha.
I colored the skunk image with sharpies. Used my scallop to punch the image out. Yes, I know, most people punch the scallop out first...not me..I seem to do everything backwards, which sometimes just doesn't work out the way I thought it would. I really need to stop doing that.
Paper is Basic Grey. Added some ribbon at the bottom, which was part of the ribbon and organizer that I ordered from QVC earlier this month when their craft fair was on. Little flower at the bottom is just some left over paper that I used my flower punches on.
That's it for now...hopefully I will be able to make some more cards today, but I have my book club at church this afternoon and I still haven't done my bills...so who knows.
Until next time......
Oh yes, yesterday was a happy day for me...hubby went out to get the mail and he brought in my wonderful Bella's that I ordered from Stamping Bella....I just love new rubber, especially Bella's.
So today I sat down and started working on all my little Bella's. Here is one I completed today.
Paper is TAC, images are Bella, including "Saw It Loved It Bought It"
The paper flower was cut from my Big Shot and then I added a huge brad in the center. I need to find out where to get more of those brads...they are too fun to work with. I colored Bella with Stampin Up markers and some Prang brush markers.
Enjoy...tata....
Here is a cute little card I did with a new Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp that I got from Christmas. I think this teddy is so cute with his little hat on. I colored with Prismacolor markers. Added Stickles on his hat and I used my flower and heart punch for the flowers. Pretty easy card to do.
Ive been working on scrapbooking things lately. Trying to get some albums done. I bet I have 200 pictures sitting on my desk waiting for an album. I just started working on the "Girlfriends" album. I just finished printing out a few more pictures to add to the album last night.
Oh, and Ive discovered Ancestry.com That place is addicting. I would find some information on one family member and then get directed to another family member. I spent hours on that site yesterday.
Hope you have an awesome day....tata for now
I had fun with this card and these two colors are my favorites when put together. Pink and brown go so well together. Another combination Im fond of is blue and brown.
Anyway, on to the card. The stamps are Pink Cat Studio...I used Prismacolor markers and Sharpies to color my images. I added Sparkles to the dress collar and the poodle at the bottom. The flower is something that came in one of my scrapbook kits. Ribbon is from my stash and then I added some fibers on the bottom of the card.
Im off to do some scrapbooking. Hope you all have a wonderful day...tata for now
Here is a Bella card I did for some RAKS that are way over due. I have been saying for months now that I need to get some RAKS out and I have finally gotten some cards done and ready to send....whew.
Paper is from one of my slabs...which is glittery. I did color some of my Bella with Prismacolor markers and the boxes that she is carrying, I colored with something I just discovered. Prang Brush Markers....I picked up one pack of these at Walmart one day. I had never heard of these before. I stuck them in my marker drawer when I got home and kinda forgot about them. While I was searching for my white gel pen, I came across the markers that I had bought. Well, I really love them. They are shimmery and very smooth. I liked them so much I ordered a pack of them when I ordered some new Prismacolor markers. I haven't used them yet, but I'm gonna in the next few days.
I added some bling on the bottom with rhinestones. I know they have a different name, but for the life of me, I cant think of it right now...I'm having a "duh" moment. Also came across a silver bow that went perfect with the card. The "Saw It, Loved It, Bought It" is a sentiment from Stamping Bella
Anyway, hope you had a fabulous Sunday
Tata for now.....
This is a card I did for a swap that I joined...the theme of course was Valentines and the colors were red and white. So, I had everything planned out in my head....I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I start digging for my decorative papers in my stash..yikes, I don't find anything that is going to work...so I think, ok, start looking through all those papers you get from various kits. Nothing. You gotta be kidding me. I sit there and wonder what I'm going to do..I really don't want to go buy paper for a swap...at last it hits me...I'm gonna have to make my own background...gasp!!! But I did it...I used a Stampin Up wheel stamp that I unmounted a long time ago. Worked like a charm. The image is TAC which I colored with my Sharpies and used Stickles. The two hearts are Sizzix embossed hearts. I put the two hearts together with a heart brad and used some embroidery floss so it looked like the hearts were balloons. The sentiment "Happy Valentines Day" is something I picked up either at Hobby Lobby or Michaels.
All in all it turned out pretty good. My layers are not perfect and I hate to measure. I use to have straight layers right up until I almost cut the tip of my middle finger off. I will NEVER use that exacto knife again. Layers will not be perfect, but that's ok....at least I will have all of my fingers...LOL
Hope your Saturday was good. Mine was pretty relaxing, which is always good. Tomorrow Im gonna do some scrapbooking.
Tata for now..............
Ok, I know, I have you all going crazy with my cards lately...but you will have to bare with me while I get all these new ones posted.
This is another D.R.S. Designs image. I recently placed an order and got lots of new things. I thought the dog was too cute with his santa hat on. The sentiment "Woof" is Sparkle N Sprinkle. Ribbon is Close To My Heart. And yes, I know, I tied a knot with my ribbon, cause you know, I dont do bows..lol
I added a felt stocking that I die cut with my Big Shot. I was so excited when I could die cut felt with that thing. Seems like the rage these days are felt everything.
Im not sure how I feel about the layout of this card. I was trying to do something way different and it didnt work out. So, this is what it ended up being. Its ok I suppose.
I worked on swaps all day today and tomorrow is dedicated to scrapbooking.
Tata for now......
Ok, I know this is way too early for fall, or you could say it is a bit late, but I don't care..haha.
This is part of the new rubber from Sparkle N Sprinkle that hubby got me for Christmas. I used Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits on this card. Added a flower at the top with a small brad. I thought the saying "happy fall y'all" was too cute.
Oh the size on this card is 6x6.
Hope you had a great New Years day. I vegged out most of the day and did some crocheting for a blanket I'm working on. Now I'm watching the HGTV Dream Home...I really wish I would win one of these houses one year....sigh.
Tata for now.......
