Pink Cat Manly Man

I just got this new Pink Cat Studio set a few days ago, so thought I would make a card with the fun new images.

I wanted this card to look "old" so I inked and ripped the edges of my decorative paper. The paper is some that I found in my stash.

I used brown kraft paper to stamp my images on. I then colored my manly man with Stampin Up and Tombo markers. I prefer to use my Prismacolor markers, but I do like to show you that you that you dont have to purchase Prismacolor markers, which I know are a bit expensive, which is why I can only order a handful at a time.

The pocket watch was stamped on the brown kraft paper and then I cut it out. It is colored with a Tombo marker in the centers and the outsides I used my gold leafing pen. I did use the small pop dots to give it a little dimension. The "hero" stamp is part of the set and the "dad" is just stamped with some alphabet stamps I have, which I purchased from Michaels over a year ago.

Hope your New Years Eve is awesome, but safe.

Tata for now......

Valentines Card

This is a stamp that I ordered from D.R.S. Designs. I colored with Sharpies and added stickles around the flower and the leaves. The ribbon on the left of the card is some pink satin with lace that I got while at Michaels one day. I also added a strip of brown ribbon on the top and bottom of the image. Flowers are from the stash I ordered from QVC. The heart is actually a gold metal embellishment I found in my stash of metals.

The card was easy to do once the stickles dried. I think it took me about half an hour to put together. I think I will use this image for a Valentines swap I'm in on one of my yahoo groups.

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe New Years Eve. My big plans for the evening are going out to dinner with my hubby and kids and then coming home to watch movies. Big night huh? Ha.

Happy stamping and tata for now......

My Blue Bird Card

I didn't get any new cards made today and I started sorting my decorative papers by manufacturer so I could start working on my sister in laws scrapbook, but when I had to leave to take Oreo to his groomer, I lost all my mojo when I got home..lol

I do have a new card though to share with you from my Christmas rubber.

This is another Sparkle N Sprinkle card. My brother got me this stamp for Christmas along with a sheet of rubber that has flowers on it. I just love new rubber!

I didn't do too much on this card. It was a pretty easy card to do and it took maybe a half an hour. I colored my bird with Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits.

I then used a dauber with my blue ink to fill in the white spaces around the image. It seemed kinda stark without some color around the bird. I added some sheer ribbon on the side. In case you have noticed, I don't do bows...I love bows, but I can make bows. Now matter how much I try, they never look right. The joke in my church stamping group is that I use pre-made bows that I buy from Hobby Lobby.

I added a flower at the bottom that I had from an order I placed with QVC quite some time ago. It came with like 600 flowers. Ya cant beat that. Of course, I need to order more now since I'm almost out. Maybe I use too many flowers..is that possible?

Hope your Sunday is spectacular...tata for now.

Im Back

Whew, the holidays are over...don't get me wrong, I love Thanksgiving right up to New Years..just seems like life is so hectic at that time. I was even so ahead this year with my shopping and managed to get my presents wrapped and under the tree right when I got home with them. I got my Christmas cards out early, despite a couple coming back to me cause people moved on me. But, now that is all over and I can get back to creating stuff again. I do need to get a scrapbook done for my sister in law by her Birthday, so I better get busy on that.

I got lots of new rubber for Christmas this year and I finally got them all mounted and today I got to play with some new stamps.

I hope you are not getting tired of snowmen, but I happen to love snowmen, so anytime I get a new snowman stamp, I must create with it. This stamp is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and so does his body. I thought about using glitter to fill in his body, but it is messy and I ...my brother and hubby got me lots of goodies from this company. I paper pieced the gift the snowman is holding and colored him with Prismacolor markers. The ball on the end of his hat has sticklesdidn't want mess today. The sentiment "A little something for you" is TAC.

Thats it for now...I will have more for you tomorrow...so see you then. Happy Stamping!!!

More Atc Cards

This first one is one of my own. I had made these atc's for a monthly swap and made too many. So, being in the creative mood with atc's and making them into cards, I decided to use some of these that I had made for the swap. Stamps are from Stampin UP. And I used those wonderful snowflake stickers from Martha Stewart that I just love.

This second atc card is mine also. I made this atc into a birthday card that I will be sending to my nephew. His Birthday is in January, so its perfect. Stamp is from TAC..used Martha Stewart snowflakes on this one too.

Enjoy.......

Atc Cards

Let me just state before posting these that these atc's ARE NOT my own. I am in a swap where we have to use atc's and make cards with them. All the atc's I used were from swaps....so don't send me hate mail...lol

I wanted to show you all how easy it was to make cards out of all those atc's you get..that is if you join atc swaps. They are fun and now easy to do something with. Just make sure when using someone else's atc's, you never try to sell your card or pass it off as your own.

Basically all I did was find my papers, which wasn't too easy considering I didn't have the exact colors that were used in the atc...but it was challenging and I loved it. I added my own embellishments and any stamping I did is my own as far as sentiments or backgrounds.

Anyway, try using some of those atc's that you have gotten from swaps. It was actually a fun time.

Until next time.....

In The Pink

Today I decided to cut apart this stamp because I never used it as it was. It use to be a snowman inside of a frame...I never liked the big frame around it, but didn't think to cut it apart...well, today I got brave and just did it.

Then I decided to do something different than I usually do. I colored my snowman in pinks and then used a collage of papers. I inked my edges and added flowers with bling in the center and Stickles around the bling. I also added some ribbon and some plastic snowflakes that Ive had on hand for awhile now.

At first I wondered if it was too much, but I like it. Hope you do too. You can click on the picture to make it bigger...don't think Ive ever told ya that before...enjoy

House Mouse Atc

Im sure you all are sick of House Mouse, so I promise my next batch of cards will be something else. I just got a new set that I need to create something with.

I colored these little guys with my Prismacolor pencils and then used mineral spirits. The little red flowers are Primas with a rhinestone in the middle. The three little bling in the center are just some stickers I had on hand.

Cant remember where the background paper came from..maybe Stampin Up, but not sure.

Enjoy and until next time...tata

House Mouse Christmas

I know, there is my light switch in the background...ooopps.

I used one of those paper doilies on this card with a scalloped circle in the middle. I also used my oval scallop punch for my mouse. I colored image with Prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits.

I hope everyone is almost done with their Christmas shopping...I have three more people to get for yet, but they are easy. All cards have been sent out, so feeling pretty good over here.

Now to finish up a project Im working on and then I can relax. Cant spill the beans about this project..ya never know who might be reading this..ha.

Anyway, I will try to give you another card tomorrow. I have been pretty productive when it comes to making new cards these days, which is scary cause burnout usually follows that.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow..until next time..tata

Close To My Heart Atc

I made this atc tonight after hubby discovered my Close To My Heart order on the door step...this is one of two sets that I ordered. This bear is so festive and cute. There is a lot more to this set, so be on the look out for more atc's or cards.

I colored the bear with my Prismacolor pencils and blended with mineral spirits. He is up on pop dots, but you might not be able to tell from the photo. I added the Martha Stewart snowflakes when I was all done. He turned out pretty good.

I like to make atc's when I'm sick of making cards. They make a quick card when you need something since most of the work is finished already.

Until next time.....

One more fun card

I think this is the last of those fun ladies that I got at Hobby Lobby...although, I could be wrong..ha.

I colored her with Sharpies and added a flower brad to her headband. Nothing really much to color. Added a big white flower and a white bow, and tada, done. The scallop at the bottom came from some scrapbook paper that I had used, so I saved my scraps.

I haven't made any new cards the last few days. Ive been busy painting my youngest sons room, getting my Christmas cards ready to go out, last minute Christmas shopping...I'm pretty much done, and wrapping presents.

Tonight I baked some goodies for my book group that I belong to at church. We always do a goodies exchange each December while we discuss our book. Its a good time.

Guess that's it for now...more later.....

Something Different

Well, I'm gonna do something a bit different tonight..I'm gonna post this wonderful story and then I will give you a card. With the holidays coming and so many people in need, this is a great story to read and really makes you think.

A BEAUTIFUL HEART One grandfather quipped about his grandchildren: "My grandkids are four and six. The Pulitzer Prize winner is four and the brain surgeon is six." Parents and grandparents are understandably proud of the quick minds and impressive talents of their little ones. But let me tell you about another quality, perhaps even more important, found in a little girl named Skylar. I received a letter from a grandmother who told me about her four- year-old granddaughter Skylar. Ever since Skylar learned of Disneyland from TV, she saved her nickels and dimes in a piggy bank in hopes of visiting there someday. Her parents surprised her with a trip when she was four, however, and didn't even require her to use her own money! When Skylar returned it was Christmastime. She decided to buy presents with her savings. But she also learned from announcements on TV about a local homeless shelter called "The Road House." She repeatedly asked her mother what "homeless" meant and why those children needed coats and warm clothes. She couldn't seem to get the homeless off her mind. Her mother took her to the store to buy presents. Instead of buying for herself or her family, however, she decided to purchase a warm coat, socks, gloves and crayons for a little girl in the shelter. She also wanted to buy a doll (a "baby," as she called it), but when she discovered she didn't have enough money, she left the doll behind. When Skylar got home, she lined up her own much-loved "babies" and chose one she thought another child could also love. The baby went into a box with the other items she bought that day. She could hardly wait for Christmas! Skylar was not thinking about Santa Claus or the presents she would be getting. She was thinking about going to the shelter and giving her carefully selected gifts to a homeless child. On Christmas Eve she and her family drove to the shelter where Skylar presented her Christmas box to a grateful little girl. She was so filled with joy at truly helping someone else, that her family has decided to make the journey to the homeless shelter an annual tradition. "Perhaps it's good to have a beautiful mind, but an even greater gift is to have a beautiful heart," says Nobel Laureate John Nash ("A Beautiful Mind"). Young Skylar has a beautiful heart. It is that one quality, above all else, that makes beautiful people. -- Steve Goodier

Ok, on to my card..this is another one of those fun lady stamps that I got at Hobby Lobby on my last trip to their store. I think this is a funny card and I know just who I'm sending this to. My best friend forever..or should I type BFF...haha. Seems like those three little letters are used everywhere now. Anyway, I colored the image with Sharpies and Stampin Up markers. Background paper came in one of my scrapbook kits. Added a flower and some ribbon and tada..done. Pretty quick and easy.

Until next time.......

Double The Fun

I don't know where I got that title, but today you get a double dose of cards. I meant to post last night but shut down my computer before I thought of it..duh.

This first card is from a stamp I just got at Hobby Lobby a couple of weeks ago. I colored the image with Stampin Up markers. Turned out pretty good..I tend to turn to my Prismacolor markers as my first choice when coloring, but those markers need a finer tip than they have, so when I have smaller things to color, I need to go with my Stampin Up or Tombo markers. The background paper is from a slab I bought at Michaels.

Second set of cards are Pink Cat Studio...the top one isn't a Christmas stamp, but I thought, well, it could be, so I made it a Christmas cat. The bottom two are meant for Christmas. I love the shimmer paper I used on two of these. I got this paper from Archivers last year and have lots left over. I also colored the top and the one on the left with Pearl Ex. The cats are colored with either Prismacolor markers or other markers.

Snowmen

I know you have already seen this guy, but I added a cute little saying and these papers are different.

I will need to create some more stuff, but Ive been confined to my recliner or bed..I did something to my back on Sunday and man oh man, it hurts bad. I had to dig out my Lortab..which I dont have many left over from my last back injury. Im hoping this will be better in a few days...I hate it when life has to stop because you get hurt. But if I want my back to heal, this is what it takes I guess.

I did add some snowflakes from the Martha Stewart collection..Im gonna need to get a few more packs of these..I really like them alot.

I colored these images with a combination of Prismacolor markers and sharpies.

Enjoy and tata for now......
