Something New

I know its been awhile...was gone taking care of my mom for four days and had to catch up on things here at home. Im leaving again tomorrow to stay with my mom for a couple of days. I sure will be glad when her husband gets out of that hospital and is home able to care for himself...course that might be a long time....sigh.

Anyway, here is one card that I managed to get done this week. I did work on some things today, but will need to take a picture and load them onto my computer.

Ive had this stamp for awhile and hardly use it cause I thought it was a pain to color..but since I now have my Prismacolor markers, I like to color. I cut the image out and then embossed it with clear embossing powder..I then cut all the white space out of the image..I had to use my craft knife in between some of those flowers and stems, but I think it paid off. I love how it turned out. I dont always like to layer images on cards and sometimes I think its cool to cut it out and just stick it on the card. I used some sheer ribbon on the side of the card and the pattern diamond image is from a Stampin Up set that I own..not sure of the name..sorry.

Overall, I think the card turned out pretty nice. Hopefully I will have some more new things for you on Monday night...I will be getting back late on Sunday, so nothing from me until Monday. Enjoy your weekend and until next time....tata

Another Hedgie

Here is another hedgehog card. I think I only have one more new card to share with you all and then I gotta make more.

Paper is from one of my scrapbook kits, sentiment is TAC, hedgehog is colored with Prismacolor markers (my favorite) I added a flower with a white brad and some sheer ribbon at the bottom of the card. Also used my ticket punch again. I really like that punch. It gives your cards something new instead of rounded corners.

Wont be able to create anything new for awhile. I'm going to be busy taking care of my mom for a bit. Her husband Raymond had knee replacement surgery this past Wednesday and his daughter is staying at the house with mom and she has her hands full with my mom. So, I'm coming to the rescue for awhile. My mom is very upset thinking that Raymond is dieing..she just doesn't understand what is going on. Its sad the way she is getting worse and worse every time I see her or hear about something she has done.

So, I will see you next week...until then..tata

How about a holiday card?

I got this stamp quite awhile ago and I haven't used it much. I found it while digging through my stamps this past weekend and thought it needed some inking. My picture didn't turn out all that great, but knew I couldn't scan it with the red bling on the card. I think I need to experiment with my camera and where to take pictures. Maybe out in my sunroom would be better...will have to try that next time.

For this card I colored images with my Prismacolor markers. The sentiment came from one of my new Inque Boutique. I just discovered these stamps and I love them. They are clear. I am a big unmounted person and mount all of my stamps on EZ Mount cushion...well, I have to say I'm in love with clear stamps also. I first started using clear stamps when I placed a Close To My Heart order with a friend. Ever since then, I love them.

Back to the card..haha..sorry....pattern paper is Basic Grey and I used my ticket punch again from Stampin Up.

Until next time..tata

Another Rubber Romance Card

Here is another Rubber Romance card that I made over the weekend. I have two more Rubber Romance stamps coming soon...I cant wait.

I added two little gems to the dog collar, but you cant tell from the picture that I took. Should of used red or blue maybe. Colored in Prismacolor markers and I used Palette ink to stamp my image. Also used Palette ink on my "doggie diva" sentiment. Pattern paper is BasicGrey. All layers are punched with the ticket punch from StampinUp
.

I'm finally done with making projects for our stamp sale at church. Now maybe I can get some scrapbooking done. I have hundreds of photos that need to be
scrapbooked. I'm way behind.

Until next time...

Another New One

Here is another card that I created yesterday. I love these little hedgehogs. They are right up there with House Mouse and Happy Hoppers.

For this card I wanted to do something that reminded me of fall...so I made his flower a sunflower...works for me. I added some red ribbon on the side and the flower at the top left came in one of my scrapbook kits. Colored with Prismacolor markers and I added stickles to the bees wings. Looking at this card, I see I forgot to color the stem..haha...sorry about that. Guess I better do that before I send it to someone...how lame that I forgot to color the stem. This must of been one of the last cards I did yesterday. I also used the ticket punch from Stampin Up for all the corners of my paper.

More tomorrow...tata for now

Lots Done Today

Well, today was a great day for creating cards. I got quite a few done. I used my hedgehogs that have been yelling to get out of their box and a couple of Rubber Romance...I just love those images.

This one is one of my Rubber Romance cards that I got done today. Ive had the chocolate sentiment and just got the girl in the mail last week. I have been an admirer of this awesome lady who does wonderful work. You can view her gallery on Splitcoast Stampers

I hope that link works, if not..I go read her blog when I get a chance. Markie's Mom amazes me with her creativity. I based this card on many of her designs. I love how many layers she uses on her cards. My card is nowhere near what she does, but I like the look of the many layers. I used the ticket punch from Stampin Up for the corners. Colored with Prismacolor markers. I added brown ribbon thread through some buckle chipboard. I thought about coloring the chipboard, but though the white looked good.

We also went to see Mr. Woodcock today...it was too funny. I laughed the entire time.

Well, that's it for today..I have lots more to show you...so until next time..tata

Im so excited!!!!

First off, today I was checking out the company blog for Inque Boutique to see what new stamps they have out and where to find them. Well, I found them at my local Archivers and bought a few sets today. I haven't even played with them yet. I was so busy today. So anyway, I'm checking my email tonight and they announced the lucky 1001 winners of a stamp set give a way..you had to sign up to be a member, which I did, and I won...hooray! How exciting it is to be among 1001 people who won a stamp set...I cant wait to get it. If you would like to see what the winners won, check it out.

Ok, lets see what I have for today.

This cherry stamp is a GWP (Gift With Purchase) stamp from TAC. I thought it was too cute. I colored the image with my Prismacolor markers. I used three papers torn for the card. The two pattern papers I found in my stash and the red is just plain card stock. I also used a felt flower that I received in one of my scrapbook kits and added a brad to the center.
Pretty simple, but cute.

Ok, I have rambled on long enough now...hope you all had a wonderful day. tata for now

Another Halloween Card

Im sure some of you are sick of the Halloween cards that are being posted all around blog land, but I think this one is too cute. I just got the witches boot stamp at Archivers last week when I was in the store for something entirely different. Hate when that happens.

Paper is TAC.

The other stamps used on this are Close To My Heart. I am really digging these stamps. I usually dont like clear stamps, but Ive only bought them at the craft stores...but the Close To My Heart stamps are awesome. I always get a really nice clear image when using these.

Colored with Prismacolor markers, purple fiber on bottom of card, and I used the folders template from coluzzle. It was the first time using this template and I think I will use it much more now.

Thats it for today...until next time..tata

House Mouse

Ok, how cute is this? I just love these little guys. Sorry for the shadow on the left..not sure how that happened. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils and then used the mineral spirits. I wasn't too happy with the results on the balloons, so I went over them with my Prismacolor markers. I think I stink when it comes to blending with those crazy stumps. They are never sharp enough or skinny enough on the end to get into the tight spaces. I usually end up bleeding colors together, which I hate.

Anyway, basic card here...layered with red ribbon on the front. The balloons are from a SU set and I just colored them with the Prismacolor markers, embossed the whole image with clear embossing powder and then I cut them out. I used pop dots on the back and then I added the little blue fiber for the balloon tail.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a sentiment that was SU "Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday" Was thinking it would be cute to put "Uh-Oh" at the top..LOL

Today I finished up all but one swap that I'm in and made all my COTM's for this month. They are all going postal tomorrow. Whew...so glad all that is done.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I'm enjoying the cooler temps here right now.

Until next time....

Im so bad

Ok, I know, I haven't given you any new cards since Tuesday...GASP...Im so sorry. I have been busy though finishing up some swaps and things for our upcoming stamp sale at church. I'm almost done though.

I just love these little hedgehogs. They are too cute. I need to do more cards with what I have. I used my Prismacolor markers to color the hedgehog and cut him out with my scallop punch. Layered that on top of circle that I punched out. Also the two circles at the top of the card are punches. I thought the sentiment went well with this little guy. Perhaps his friend is the ladybug, who knows. I added a little flower at the bottom. The flower came from some that I ordered off of QVC the last time they had a scrapbooking all day marathon. It came with like 600 flowers. I'm sure I will not run out anytime soon.

I did do a House Mouse card today for a cotm on one of my yahoo groups. I took a picture, but need to load it to my computer, so you will have to wait for that one.

Nothing too exciting going on here. Waiting for the cooler, less humid weather to reach me. Maybe tomorrow.

Until next time...tata

Guess I can show ya now

Well, I guess I can post this card to my blog now since I didn't make the design team for Cornish Heritage Farms. Am I disappointed? Yeah, you bet, but stamping will go on..lol

I made this quite awhile ago and don't even know what I used anymore. The stamp I think is Stampendous, but I could be wrong. I just stamped the image, used chalk around image and colored in the butterfly with Prismacolor markers. Looking at it now, maybe it needed a bit more spice..not sure.

That's it for tonight. I will post another card tomorrow. Until next time......

Another Fun Card

I did this card for a sketch challenge, but I kinda tweaked it up a bit. Basically it was a sketch that just had three tags on it with a strip of either pattern paper or regular card stock behind the tags. So, that was just way too boring for me, so I had to spice it up.

Paper is from a scrapbook kit I got in the mail. Sentiment (thanks) is from TAC, stamps are CTMH (Close To My Heart), punched flowers at the bottom are from a Big Shot die cut. I also used a Cuttlebug embossed folder for the rose card stock strip behind the tags.

I was thinking that maybe this card was a bit too busy, but hubby said he liked it, so I figured it was good. Sometimes I go a bit overboard with all my embellishments and other things.

I have watched a lot of movies over this long holiday weekend. I have to say my two favorites were "Freedom Writers" and "The Ultimate Gift" Awesome movies...go rent them if you get a chance. I also watched "Glory Road" this morning when I got up. Hubby has a habit of leaving the cable box on at night when he comes to bed and it is usually on a movie channel. That's a big mistake if I don't have anything to do or anywhere to go. I start watching a movie I haven't seen before.

Well, that's it for now. Hope everyone had a fantastic Labor Day.

First Christmas Card

Well, its never too early to get started on your Christmas cards. I decided to do this card for a sketch challenge...not sure why I picked Christmas. Someone actually thought I had stitched all the stitching on this paper..I really laugh at that one, since I don't even know how to sew. I can hardly sew a button on for goodness sake.

The background paper is one from a Michaels slab that I got last year around the holidays. The little mouse is TAC and the sentiment at the bottom comes from a Christmas sentiment set that I got at Archivers last year. Mouse is colored with Prismacolor markers and I added some green sheer ribbon. Oh, and the brads have glitter on them, but not sure you can see it here. I don't remember where these brads came from, but I'm thinking they probably came in one of my scrapbook kits.

Turned out kinda cute actually. I think I will make more to send out this year.

Today I did get some creating time in. I made some atc's for a Halloween swap that I'm in. Glad to have them finished. My goal this week is to finish all swaps and have them ready to go.

Hubby and I also took my youngest son to a movie that he wanted to see. "Balls of Fury" stupid funny. It wasn't too bad actually. Ive had to go to worse movies with my son. My youngest loves stupid/funny movies. When they come out on dvd, I buy them and he will watch these movies over and over. At least I get my money out of those dvd's..lol.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Labor Day...I plan on doing nothing but working on swaps.

More tomorrow.....
