Sketch Challenge Card

I just cant get enough of this SU set. I love the big flower that I can color in and cut out. I colored these flowers with Prismacolor markers. I had ordered some more colors and they came this week. Now I can order some more this week. I told hubby he should just let me get the biggest set which is over 200 dollars and he said "yeah right!" that of course means no. So I told him, thats ok, I will just keep ordering some every week until I get them all anyway..haha. He didnt have anything to say to that one.

For this card I colored my flowers, cut them out, used a Prima flower for the center, put pop dots on the flowers to give them dimension, put a gem stone in the middle of the Prima flower and stamped my greeting. I used two brads on my greeting background. Pretty easy and I love the colors.

I think I sometimes go at it backwards when it comes to making my cards. I tend to stamp my images and color them first. Then I try to find papers that match. Im learning to pick my papers first, then stamp and color. Seems to coordinate much better that way.

Enjoy and happy stamping.

New Card

Well, I managed to get another card done today. It is for a swap that I needed to get done and sent. This set is from SU. Cant remember the name of the set, but I love these flowers. They are great for cutting and layering. This swap was spring with a twist. The twist was that you could not use any pattern paper and the colors had to be green, blue and yellow. I also used Stickles on the flowers in the middle and on the little black circles on the flowers. I colored the flowers with my prismacolor markers. I really like these things the more I use them. I wasnt sold on them when I first tried them out, but the more I use them, the more I like them. I cant wait to get the new ones that I ordered. I do have the blender marker, but I dont really notice a difference when I use it...maybe I need to keep at it.

Anyway, enjoy the card and Im sure I will have another one tomorrow. Still have some cute little hoppers to get on cards yet. So stay tuned.

Another Cutie

I got this little guy when I scored at Hobby Lobby last week. I think he is too cute. I left the sentiment off so I can put one on when I need for a special occasion. Usually I put the sentiment on and when I need a card, it doesnt have the right sentiment that I need. So Im learning to just leave them off.

Pretty basic instructions...layered papers and colored with prismacolor pencils and turpenoid.

I ordered a bunch of new Prismacolor markers tonight from http://www.dickblick.com/zz213/42/

Their markers are $2.09...pretty good deal. I have a few of these markers and they really are great...no streaks or no lines. Sometimes I just want to use a marker over the pencils. Cant wait until they come.

On to my card...enjoy

Happy Hoppers

Well, I scored at Hobby Lobby on Wednesday and found some more Happy Hoppers. Im not at my desk, so I dont know the names of the ones that I got, but I thought I would post this cute little guy that I just got done tonight. I have tons of images all colored and ready to put on cards...now to just find the time to get it done. Im hoping tomorrow I can do a few more cards. I also need to get two baby scrapbooks done for a lady at my church...she already paid for them and I cashed her check. I will see her the second Monday in May, so I better get started.

On to the card. I used my embossing folder for the upper part of the card and some pattern paper for the bottom. Used some ribbon in the middle. The Happy Hopper Birthday cutie is cut out and I used pop dots to make him more dimensional. I stamped "Happy Birthday" on white cardstock and used my circle punch to punch it out. I then inked the edges of my circle with some blue ink. Oh, and I colored my little guy with prismacolor pencils and blended with turpenoid. The balloons I used my Tombo markers. Thats it...it was pretty easy to put together once I got to sit down to do it.

Enjoy.

Another TAC Card

This is another TAC card that I made the other day. I paper pieced the birds, which I really like how that looks. I'm not sure I like the stamped letters I used to spell out "love birds" I'm thinking I should of used some smaller letters, but not sure. If I had to do it over again, I would use smaller letter stamps.

I have some more Happy Hoppers all colored and just need to make them into cards. Maybe tomorrow I will swing by Hobby Lobby to see if they have anymore of those cute little guys. There are at least three or four more that I would like to have.

So, as soon as I get my Happy Hoppers made into cards, I will scan them in and post them. Hopefully tomorrow I can make more cards...never know how the day will go though.

Until next time.....

Happy Hoppers

Ok, I'm totally in love with Happy Hoppers. I found one at Hobby Lobby when they first came out and then the other day I was in the store and found like six of them. There were three others that I really wanted, but they were gone. I might have to give in and order them on line. I don't mind ordering on line, but I hate to wait for my stuff. If you want to see these cute little guys, here is the link to check them out....http://www.hmstamps.com/HH1.htm

This was actually a sketch card challenge but the image was too big for the sketch. I used the card that I posted the other day using all TAC stamps and papers. The original sketch calls for a square where the image goes, and I used a circle on the tac card..shame on me.

The background is embossed with white embossing paper. The circle stamps were some I had in my stash. Not sure of the company. I believe the paper was some paper that came in one of my scrapbooking kits that I get monthly. I colored in the bunny with prismacolort pencils and blended with turpenoid. I chalked around the edges of the image and added "heavenly"

Enjoy

I Stamped Today

Well, I got to stamp all day long today..it was awesome. I got a lot of things stamped and scanned in so you will all have some cards to look at over the next few days.

This card uses all Tac papers and stamps. Its the Oopsie Daisy set. I just love this set. Plus the colors I chose today are two of my favorites when put together. I colored in my images with prismacolor pencils and blended with turpenoid. I also used this card as my sketch card challenge today on my yahoo group. Every other week I post a sketch and then everyone who wants to play can upload the card to the group. Its pretty fun to see what everyone comes up with.

Anyway, enjoy the card and more to come tomorrow.

Newest TAC Card

Here is a card I did with my newest TAC set that I ordered and havent played with yet until yesterday. This set cracks me up and it is soo true of me. I love to shop! Hubby doesnt like it so much, but I love it.

Ok, on to my card. This set is "Retail Therapy" I colored my image with prismacolor pencils and blended with Turpenoid (odorless turpentine substitute) This works great for me and it happens to be what the store had when I went looking. Other than what I used to color the image with, its just basic background paper and layering cardstock. I did cut out the package and used pop dots to give it some dimension.

Enjoy and until next time happy stamping.

Another Bella Card

Im gonna post one of my newest Bella cards that Ive been working on. It turned out pretty good. I am trying to get a bunch of Bella cards done up so I can start RAKing.

I woke up today to snow....snow on the ground and snow falling from the sky. It was a snow storm when I looked outside. I cant believe this weather. Two weeks ago it was 60's and 70's and now today SNOW...NUTS!! My poor tulips! Those tulips should know not to poke out of the ground so early. I think every year when those tulips pop up, it snows.

Yesterday was of course "girlfriend day" We started out at our favorite hangout..Starbucks...just love that place. Then we went to lunch. We keep saying we need to make a trip to Ikea...just love that store too.

Anyway, enjoy the card.

Tomorrow I plan on scanning in some TAC cards that I got done yesterday.

Enjoy and until next time.....
